The History of Tiki on Demand

The business idea of Tiki on demand began as an essential service during the pandemic of Covid-19 beginning in April 2020. Made redundant, it was immediately went to the drawing board to shape what could possibly exist during this time ofthe world in a pandemic stage.

During this time, we completed tasks, shopped on demand, created and delivered giftboxes and completed pick up of stock for small businesses. We had steady repeat customers whouse the services consistently in a month. We had also grown in spaces to do with Managed

Isolation Facilities and with the world operating online, set up marketing and advertising in social media spaces as well as a DIY website. Giftboxes were selling out as it was often forgotten or lastminute. Customers were using Tiki on Demand to shop on demand and deliver to other people as a way to check in on their relatives.

Orders were coming in and often started at 7am and would often work into past 8pm, with last minute orders for regular customers accepted after hours. It was becoming full time veryfast and as a new service was operating 7 days a week.

There came to a point where we needed to streamline, systemise and put procedures in place.

We needed more knowledge and support in areas of business, as we needed to expand with the growth of orders coming in. Procedures to do with health and safety, systems to follow and streamlining the customer journey which meant more productivity.

Thus, a halt was put on operations to be able to relaunch with all in place extra services, more streamline because our Taskers aren’t just your average tasker.
